    6 antiaging tips for your 30s

    Even for the lucky ones born with an amazing skin, 30s is the time to look after it properly to maintain a youthful appearance.     2. Use an exfoliant
    Once a week, using a chemical or physical exfoliant give the skin a fresh look. They remove the overlying dead cells that give the skin a dull look, and replaces them with fresh cells. The uneven appearance of skin can be dealt with by using a good exfoliant. A mild scrub also rids the skin of comedones and black heads.

    The two main types of exfoliants are: chemical and physical. As long as they are not very harsh, either can work ideally for the skin. For mature skin, chemical exfoliants particularly those with alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and lactic acid, are best. They can be used for any skin type but its best to use one that’s recommended by your healthcare expert.

    3. Use the right serums
    To use a serum, first identify your skincare concerns. People with dry skin benefit best from hydrating serums, while those with uneven skin can benefit from vitamin C rich serums. For antiaging, serums containing vitamin A such as retinol, tazarotene and tretinoin are best. They encourage the production of collagen in the skin, and reverse oxidative stress. The latter ages the skin and causes you to look older.

    Serums, when used right, protect the skin from oxidative and environmental stressors, free-radicals while addressing the skin concerns. They are concentrated with an active product and work to transform the skin. The right way to use a serum is to pat it onto the skin, rather than rubbing it on.

    4. Moisturizer is key
    Aging naturally reduces the hydration of the skin, making it look dull and dry. Moisturizers with water-binding humectants like hyaluronic acid and glycerin provide extended hydration and prevent the evaporation of water from the skin. Be sure to invest in the right moisturizer.

    5. Always use a sunscreen
    Use of sunscreen shows results even later on in life, by preventing age-spots and hyperpigmentation. The visible signs of aging due to UVA radiation—also known as photoaging, can be prevented by using a chemical or physical sunscreen that block UVA and UVB radiation. Studies show that daily use of SPF 30 sunscreen improve skin texture, fade the age spots and wrinkles in as little as three months.

    6. Follow an evening regimen as well
    Cleansing and hydrating in the evening are important skincare steps that can double the benefit. Cleansing washes off the buildup of the entire day, while moisturizer helps to lock in the water while the skin.
