SARMs are chemicals largely associated with bodybuilding. In this article, we bring you a ranking of the SARMs that act the most to achieve this effect. This is the classification from most to least powerful of SARMs, in terms of increasing muscle mass.
S23
It is perhaps the most powerful SARM on the market. It is becoming very popular, but it can have noticeable side effects such as changes in libido, lipid profile, androgenic effects, and temporary liver transaminase alteration has been observed in some research done. S23 is also considered a powerful contraceptive for men. This had been tried before with the stem hormone testosterone (specifically in Japan) in an attempt to lower the birth rate. It is difficult to know if there is a link between these facts, but everything seems to indicate that there may be something
It did not reach the study phase, so there is no data on S23 in humans, except in anecdotal literature, of which there is more every day on the internet.
YK11
YK 11 is extremely powerful and with serious side effects. It is often used together with other compounds and there are not many reports as the only chemical. At the molecular level it is basically an androgen agonist, hence its proven effectiveness.
Like some SARMs, in high doses and for too long periods of time, they can cause liver disorders, changes in libido, testicular atrophy, aggressiveness or increased cholesterol. All reversible with the cessation of the compound and allowing the body to return to homeostasis in a few weeks.
RAD140
RAD 140 is one of the newer SARMs on the market and has become very popular in these years. Developed by Radius Health Inc (hence the RAD), it is currently undergoing the first phase of clinical trials.
It is an attempt to mimic the mother hormone, testosterone, for the treatment of degenerative diseases and breast cancer. There are studies developed in women with very high doses which did not seem to have adverse effects in the short term. It has also been studied in rats as an alternative to TRT (testosterone replacement therapy), but there is no evidence that it can replace testosterone in humans.
LGD3303
Initially, there may be confusion about the LGD4033 and LGD3303, having such similar names. However, there are substantial differences.
On the one hand, LGD3303 is a compound in theory similar to Ligandrol, but with some variations. The most important is that it is more potent, more suppressive of endogenous testosterone and that it increases libido. Being this a SARM for even more advanced use than LGD4033, we could put it one step above LGD4033, but with the disadvantage that it is much more suppressive of the hormonal axis.
Even so, both substances are ranked number 4 with respect to SARMs for increasing muscle size, since LGD4033 is one of the most used and popular SARMs (remember that from here to S23 there is not such a marked difference, from here on the step actually begins).
Ligandrol SARMs (LGD4033 or VK5211), are very popular SARMs for sale, of the most, known to increase muscle mass in very short periods of time. It was discovered by Ligand Pharmaceuticals but is currently carried out by Viking Therapeutics. Like Ostarine (MK2866), it was designated for degenerative conditions and osteoporosis primarily
It has gone through many clinical trials, in which its effectiveness in gaining muscle size has been more than proven, even in low doses. According to studies it has been well tolerated, but usually has more side effects than its namesakes Ostarine (MK2866) and S4 (Andarine).
