Hello Kitty games are some of the most appreciated and played games in the world, for a number of more or less obvious reasons. First of all, they feature one of the most popular characters in the world, Hello Kitty, as well as her twin sister Mimi and numerous other friends. Secondly, they are addressed to girls of all ages, who are very passionate about what they like and invest a lot of time in it. Last but not least, their creators take great care in terms of game design, which must live up to the brand name.
Over time, a lot of myths about Hello Kitty games appeared online and not only, therefore we decided to take each of them separately and answer the question once and for all: are they true or not? As you’ll see, some of them are true, others are false, but they all contribute to the charm these games have. After all, they must be something special if hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of little girls from all over the world play them, right? As a parent, you can be part of this magic by watching them play or even joining them.
Myth #1: “Hello Kitty games are only for girls” – FALSE. Of course, as we already mentioned, these are girly games, so they are primarily aimed at little girls, but this doesn’t mean that boys can’t play them. There are some spin-offs that may also interest them and also multiplayer games that they can play together with their friends or sisters, why not? Also, in a world that is becoming more and more open & tolerant regarding everyone’s choices, even from an early age, it’s not necessary to put labels like “for boys”, “for girls”, etc.;
Myth #2: “Hello Kitty games are easy to play” – FALSE. Even though they may seem easy, these games are quite complex, putting the girls’ imagination, creativity, and dexterity to the test. The levels become more and more difficult as you progress, requiring even more attention and concentration. However, they are not so difficult as to become frustrating, of course. Actually, even if they’re not easy at first, they will become increasingly easier because your little girl will get used to them;
Myth #3: “Hello Kitty games are very varied” – TRUE. Last but not least, another “myth” states that these games are very varied. Surprisingly or not, this is actually true! Your daughter can try different hairstyle, spa, dress-up games, makeover challenges, etc. As we already mentioned, the creators & designers spent a lot of time developing these games and making sure they are entertaining enough so they will continue to be played for a long time. Also, it’s a very good marketing strategy to use Hello Kitty’s image to create different games that address different topics or aspects of life.
So, what do you think about the myths surrounding Hello Kitty and her games? Did you hear about them & know that the first two were false and the last one was true? Have fun!
