The journey of Season 7 is not over yet, I wonder how your experience with witchcraft powers is? Do you think they have played a truly beneficial role in your battles? Considering that there are so many witchcraft powers, you may not have really judged which ones are the most suitable for you until now. But anyway, I think it’s time for you to pay attention to boss powers!
Boss power is a seasonal mechanism belonging to Season 8, and like witchcraft power or vampire power, it aims to provide you with more combat options. In order to ensure that you have enough options and also enrich the playability of Season 8 with this mechanism, according to the 2.2.0 PTR, you will find that Diablo 4 has added 24 boss powers for this season.
In the past, these terrible enemies always appeared in Sanctuary as a source of Diablo 4 Gold drops, and sometimes brought you some rare gear or other seasonal items, but this time they came with exclusive powers, both your enemies and your “trophies”.
Then maybe you will further want to know which of these 24 boss powers is more difficult to obtain and which is easier? In fact, there is another possibility: 9 rare-level boss powers that are a little difficult to obtain, but the combat performance will be better than the lowest-level power!
What Is Boss Power?
As the seasonal power of Diablo 4 Season 8, boss power requires you to defeat the corresponding boss to get it, and each boss can provide you with 1 main power and 1 modifier power. However, in the end you can only equip 1 main power and 3 additional powers, so you must fully understand the role of each power as much as possible to filter out the part that suits you best, and then you can switch boss powers through the character pane of the tab on the left side of the inventory.
Each main power is very powerful and can enhance your class ability. You can use them as the core to create the most suitable Season 8 builds for you, and the role of modifier power is mainly to enhance the main power, such as providing temporary gains, increasing damage or other practical effects. Therefore, you can use them to improve existing builds to help you improve combat efficiency, thereby bringing more unique Diablo 4 items and combat experience to your Season 8 journey.
What Are The Types Of Boss Power?
In fact, the classification of boss power in Season 8 is related to the new endgame boss mechanism. In the past seasons, these enemies collectively referred to as endgame or ladder bosses will be renamed lair bosses in Season 8, and will be further divided into three levels according to their attributes and strength: initiate, greater, and exalted.
And boss power refers to this classification idea. The 24 powers are also divided into magic, rare, and legendary. Among them, the easiest magic power comes from Apparition army brought by the ultimate boss Belial of this season. There are 10 Apparition bosses in Apparition Incursions event caused by them that can provide magic boss power, and the most difficult legendary power comes from the top five bosses in the game.
As for rare boss power, it comes from the initiate lair bosses, world bosses, and Belial’s lesser form. They are moderately difficult and will be more suitable for farming as you enter the middle of Season 8.
