German striker Havertz admitted he was surprised when the Chelsea board made the decision to sack Thomas Tuchel.
Last summer’s transfer window, coach Tuchel received strong support from the new owners. A series of blockbuster deals like Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang landed at Stamford Bridge. However, Vn88 found that Chelsea did not have the best record when winning only the first 3/6 matches in the Premier League 2022/23.
In the opening match of the Champions League 2022/23, the Blues lost 0-1 at Dinamo Zagreb’s field. The Board of Directors of the Stamford Bridge team immediately made a decision to fire Tuchel, despite the German coach bringing back the silver trophy for the club in the 2020/21 season.
In the latest interview on Vn88.cx, Kai Havertz admitted: “I was surprised that Tuchel was sacked, especially given what he has won with us.
We didn’t even have a bad start to the season. Chelsea are in 6th place and need a lot of new players to adapt. Everything happens so fast in football.”
Many sources of Vn88 said that the conflict between Tuchel and owner Todd Boehly was the main cause of this separation. The American billionaire wants to build a whole new empire at Stamford Bridge, so he wants the former PSG coach to stick to his strategy. However, Tuchel flatly refused some of Boehly’s claims, causing the relationship between the two sides to break down.
